Iroquois Rod and Gun Club was founded in 1924, on lands purchased for the Fuez farm at the end of Fuez Road. Originally just a rifle range and trap field, the club now offers a rifle and pistol range, outdoor archery range, and small bore range. Our clay birds range provides both Skeet and Trap facilities, and a heated warming shed next to the range allows trap and skeet in any but the most unpleasant weather. The trap and skeet field is lit for evening shooting during the non-summer seasons.
We have a multi-use indoor range, which is used for both IDPA (practical pistol) and NRA target pistol, as well as small bore and youth archery.
Training programs
In addition to range safety training required for all new members, there is a formal youth archery league with enough instructors to provide not only supervision but individual instruction for at least part of every session. The trap and skeet chairmen and other instructors regularly teach new shooters of all ages how to safely and effectively shoot trap or skeet. The IDPA pistol league has regular training dates for both safety and technique instruction.
